I first got to know Scott Mendes at lunch following a media meeting. He and I hung around after everyone had left, discussing our faith & westerns. Myself being an Ex-Marine & writer of two westerns was impressed with Scott, a rugged World Champion Bull Rider, Pastor & cowboy who has such passion in his faith. Many times we have discussed the old classic westerns that weren’t afraid to show the Bible, quote scripture & define good verses evil.

There wasn’t the need to guess much back then, good was good, evil was evil & “good” much to the delight to the audience usually prevailed!

I would be honored to someday play a part along with others who share the passion of bringing westerns back to the true genre that made and kept it America’s favorite. I’m proud to call Scott my friend, and look forward to see the Lord’s plans for him.
